Hurricane Rita

These images of Hurricane Rita and the Gulf of Mexico are processed from POES AVHRR data. Using the CoastWatch Data Analysis Tool (CDAT), which is part of the CoastWatch Software & Utilities package, data were processed into Red-Green-Blue (RGB) composites using channels 1,2, and 4. Channels 1 and 2 used the default linear enhancement functions and Channel 4 used the reverse of the linear enhancement function.
